This is where the game gets dirty, and for some viewers like me, irritating, as former Housemates have easily changed their hues from rainbow color to sport the dark side when the twist of PBB Double Up “Resbak Attack” was unleashed.

Far from being plausible, pleasing and enjoyable on my palate, it is nonetheless the very goal of the show’s writers (or Big Brother?)…to test the patience and reveal the so-called real characters of the remaining housemates.
This is where the show gets so stupid and former housemates easily made out of themselves fools, stupefying themselves by mudslinging other housemates just for the sake of testing their patience and having another shot in front of the rolling camera?
Duh! Anyone who will not get pissed off or freak out when strangers rampage your home comparable to a deluge that a deadly tsunami could bring is a total stupid. Anyone who will not get offended by the very people they call friends ruin their characters and attack them personally with unfounded allegations of mischief and viciousness is a nuthead. It is like, “Hey I am going to smash the bumper and side mirror of your father’s car and the favorite porcelain vase of your mom, let us see if they will get angry and show their real selves.”
Thus, are there any drought of creative juices already inside the membranes of spin doctors to think of making a twist with already a very predictable outcomes and put the remaining housemates at the mercy of public opinion when they act not according to what is acceptable, or be judged as not showing their real color when they play it cool.
This where the premise of mocking the remaining housemates and pissing them off, just for the sake of seeing their so-called “real selves” be revealed is very problematic if not erroneous. Because the “real self” is not the angry nor the pissed off self that is being induced by the former housemates to the remaining ones, it is only one aspect of the “self” and giving it all the reasons to feel bad and angry is just but normal; for the “real self” is an all-encompassing perspective of the totality of being of a person on all aspects of his life and on all of his emotions and decision-making. Hay…
And why give the chance to former housemates to have a shot at the Php 250,000 price against the remaining housemates on one of the upcoming weekly task when the former have already been voted out from the show as decided by their fellow housemates during nomination and have been given judgment by public opinion. This is recycling what has already been booted out and disregarding public opinion, more so the spirit of justice and fairness for all those who are still remaining inside the house who had worked out their best to stay and been chosen by the voting public to contend for their rightful spots.
With this post, surely the show and the twist for that matter have triumphed on sowing a real interest to the new episode as what Laurenti Dyogi once said on the issue of sexual discrimination, that it is still good since people are talking about it.
Without Melai, I think the new twist has easily morphed into a suspense-thriller mini series similar to Harper’s Island. I like watching the show, but this time I am pissed off. Maybe it is just me; or it is just me intellectualizing on an episode that should have just been followed without using too much comprehension. Just ranting…
Any thoughts? What do you think of the new twist called “Resbak Attack” on the PBB House? What do you think of the evicted housemates pissing off the remaining ones to reveal their real selves?

you’re absolutely right!resbak attack is nonsense.real self is showing who really you.dnt jaz stay cool when u saw smething’s bad goin’ on.especially insde ur house…BIGBROTHER waaaazzzzup?para ano?….para ipakita sa mga people sa labas kung sino ang magagalit at e-evict ng mga tao?well, housemates who will stay cool after the ransak game are PLASTIC…cla dpat ang lalabas sa bahay ni kuya……melai… cge magalit ka….go gog oooo….MELAI…..
Tama, para saan ang pagpapagalit sa mga housemates, obviously they will get real mad as to what is being done to them, tapos kapag nagalit sila, sasabihin “ay sama nya” at kung hindi naman magalit sasabihin “pacute”.
Duh…as fast as the show has captured people because of Melason, it is as fast also to make out of itself a real fool.
yes, i agree with you 100%!!!
the show has lost it’s appeal to me.
PBB has gone TRASHY & STUPID.
I get really annoyed when I watch the show these past few days.
I don’t feel good after watching the show anymore.
What the hell, quoting Lao TZu’s Quotes & THE ART OF WAR just to find a lame justification on the ex-housemate’s behavior (or as they said “resbak “) towards the existing housemates. Who buys that? It’s cheap entertainment & absolutely T.R.A.S.H.Y.!!
My teeth grinds at how unfair & how bastos & scandalous the ‘resbak team’ is doing especially that scandalous girl Princess. They could have a ‘resbak’ in some other ways. Not with being bastos, judgmental & self-righteousness.
They have shown the dark side of the Filipinos instead of emphasizing the good side in us.
PBB has gone cheap & lame!
PBB is really so cheap with the latest segment, well ABS thrives on sensation to rate its programs, but this is already bordering into something real bad especially to younger audience.
But as they say, ayun nga, at least pinag uusapan raw ang show…See, that is they name of the game for them really, maski bastusan na.
And to add, it’s not safe for kids to watch it anymore.
Let PBB justify it, but I still think it’s lame.
Filipino viewers are more intelligent than what they think.
There are lots of creative ideas on how to do that ‘resbak.’
Let them engage into a skill competition while the ‘resbak team’ treat them formally & in a businesslike manner, not with verbal & physical VIOLENCE.
They could hurl some judgments, but only after pointing out their good qualities first. Not with stupidity like : ‘puti ka ug itlog’–Princess’s statement. That was really stupid & unnecessary. Scandalosa….ganyan ba ang mga filipina?
An opinion, just sayin.’
Where is MTRCB when you need them?
PBB is worst than showtime.
Yeah, yeah, good points raised especially on the issue of is the show still safe for young people though it is on a late night time slot.
I think MTRCB should step in already.
I agree on most points. I just hope that whatever it is they get the result they want includng the ratings. Ive seen it, didnt like it. After a long day at work i just want to feel relax and not stress myself anymore. And the ex housemates… After the resbak attack… Kawawa sila…
Thanks for the comment…after a long day working, watching PBB with this new twist has become sickening, instead of relaxing and enjoyable.
@ThinkingOutLoud.. I agree. The show is energy-draining.
I’m disappointed at how the show turned out to be.
I used to be a fan of PBB, not anymore.
No matter how PBB justifies the ‘mudslinging’ & verbal violence.
A spade is still a spade.
They have underestimated the intellect of the Filipino viewers
And they think everyone will just enjoy watching a program filled with violance, verbal abuses and non-sense testing of patience and character.
I am not watching PBB anymore since that first day of Resbak Attack, though I am still seeing its episodes on commercials.
Is it correct to say resbak is something like sourgraping on steroids? If that is so, since when has it become cool to sourgrape? It’s a contest, people are bound to get booted out. That’s simply the nature of the beast. Bitchiness from contestants who failed to make the cut is boring Sure, the sorry loss is unfortunate for the affected ones, but who cares?
Are we imparting here a subliminal message to young viewers that it’s okay not to be a good sport? That it’s okay to get back at perceived tormentors juest because you did not get what you want? Losing is an occasion to take stock of one’s failings, to accept it with graciousness and to move on. That’s not okay anymore?
The latter part of your observation is what I think very important. TV shows like these are interactive, they impart something most especially to the young viewers who are looking for example and show minds are like dry sponge, ready to absorb what they see.
Unfortunately, this show has turned to become a great patron of championing the attitude of getting back at winners when you lose using violence, trash talk and unbecoming behaviors.
Sourgraping really, and how dare are all these housemates voted out already to have the upper hand of squeezing the remaining housemates to unleash their “real selves”. Duh, writers and Big Brother should go back to school and study a little of Psychology and Philosophy maybe…add to that, maybe an elective course on social responsibility.

STOP THIS NON-SENSE!!!!
I wish all your comments will be voice out!!! MTRCB should take in seriously…this is STUPIDITY!!! A lot of kids are watching the show…
now…it is not advisable for parents like me to watch this show!!!
Hindi na makatotohanan!!!! Evryone is fake!!! They are just making money for themselves…Text voting…for what!!! Syempre lahat ng tao mag text…kumikita sila pero yung mga tao ginagawa nilang tanga!!!!
I hate this show!!!!
@HAZEL, YOU ARE RIGHT. GINAGAWA NILA TAYONG TANGA.
AND THE WORST THING ABOUT THIS IS, THE MASSES DIG IT!
THEY CAN’T SEE THROUGH THE SHALLOWNESS OF THE SHOW.
THAT’S WHAT I HATE MOST.
akala ko ako lang nakakafeel. yeah tama. MTRCB should do something. The resbak attack just shows kung papano magalit at mainis. Wala nang values na makukuha ang mga taong manonood.
Nakakawalang gana manood ng PBB coz walang moralidad na mga nangyayari. Yeah oo lumalabas personality nila. Pero iba-iba personality ng mga tao. So ung mga mabait malamang di magiging mapusok and yung mga strong ung personality sila talaga magsstand out sa resbak. Pero wala pa ring point yung nangyayari sa loob ng PBB. I myself naaapektuhan. kakainis.
Sana wala na ganitong tasks kasi i don’t find any sense sa mga nangyayari.
1. the resback attack failed to provide the public the expected wisdom it supposed to squeeze. melai and jason “defected” from the team and yet they are still in. I don’t think PBB is sending the right signal in forcing “kilig factor” even if such is no longer there after the betrayal. or is it ok to keep the kilig over a good virtue of cooperation? in times of war, a person fighting is the peace-loving person. the person doing the opposite is the criminal. i guess it was made clear that the situation is ‘war’.
2. Melai is a lazy girl, with jason who is too another lazy guy. she does not like working hard enough like paul jake and tibo and mariel in protecting the tower. what she likes doing is to stay close to jason- a personal interest and a better alternative to working and be on guard. but to appear ‘holy’ to the public, she needs to do it in the guise of projecting a personality of a peace-loving person. did it not come to her mind that there is no friendship that is going to be sacrificed even if they choose not to defect since it was just a task? no one should think it to be real as big brother would never allow anything uncontrollable to happen.
2. If Melai gets to big four (though she’s in already) then DEFECTION and betrayal are good values .In essence we are rewarding traitors. Too cheap a kind of education.
Thanks for the long comment grace…i appreciate your active participation in the discussion. But Melai is now on the top slot and may even take home the top prize.
